Maybe I am way too relatable with anything that’s granny chic, but if you are familiar with how I embrace styles/trends its that I have phases I enter at certain points. With brands embracing this current phase of mine, the progression and experimentation of granny chic looks have been a breeze and almost granted a license to rock this sometimes-seen-as-unappealing look. But really, let’s not debate about how prominent and timeless granny/vintage chic is like – countless entities in pop culture has welcomed this more is more aesthetic and emerged iconic : Grey Gardens, Wes Anderson movies, Marie Antoinette- all emerged as go-to references by designers throughout. This is why my attention goes towards Gucci; whose creative vision has rang a bell in my style psyche. With their ornamental, print-clashing and vintage clashes; the label has served as an emerging force and dictation of fashion!

The DNA is simple, pickup loud retro prints and combine them together to create an awkward pairing of colors and design. The trick here is to pick a color and assign them all over the look, making sure the tone gels well together. Using pieces of Vinter Vintage, I came up with two looks to experiment with Gucci’s signature frumpy 🙂

Wearing this lace-ruffle blouse from Vinter Vintage against my H&M cigarette pants, I try to keep them all in one pantone family tree. Complete with my Miu Miu flats.

This next one you might have seen, as I recently played dress up while I was doing a shoot for BAZAAR. I figured that I should reemulate the Wes-Anderson-esque look as it was/is my definite favorite!
