Here’s the down low/low down.

Accessories on Raya are usually taken on an adrenaline-pumped rush when assembled on most OOTDs. Perhaps its the overwhelming spirit of festive air that could have contributed to the style malaise, but I think its all comes down to our obsession with all things OTT for Raya.

I, too have a knack for all things glittery and shiny, but keeping it close to my love for all things delicate is the key. Let me show you what I mean with these Swarovski baubles for Fall 15:

#1 Its okay to do the Rafidah Aziz approach, but keep your accents subtle for a classier look.

#2 When my outfit gets too loud, a simple statement ear cuff would embellish enough. Preferably with slicked sideways hair.

#3 Layering is totes fine. With fine pieces, these go undoubtedly well with the most sleek of Raya outfits. I prefer to match with grey tones and whites. Black’s alright too if that’s how you roll.

(plus: tan beauties, rose gold ones look absolutely lux against your skin tone)

#4 I find myself facing the all too common dilemma of wanting to accessorize my earrings with, something- ANYTHING. That’s when a chunky statement ring does the trick; not too much and not too underwhelming.

#5 If you don’t know already: marble anything is the way to go in accessorizing. Its a shoo-in for Instagram likes and go from casual to glam in any given situation and pieces.

(see how I am unable to contain the excitement of propping this pair on?)

#6 and finally.. go ahead, embrace your Anak Mami quirk on layering your bangles. Contain no more by layering silvers, rose golds against one another. Textured ones are better. Take a risk by matching them with your delicately layered necklace. Gotta leave the glittering chunks for your neck sometime else 😉 Get the rings out for the arm party too!

You know what they say, Raya is a 30-day affair. Try these tips on for your accessory styling experimentation for your Open Houses/Weddings/Food Coma Excursions whatever.

Your OOTD game will be instantly upgraded 😉
